Looking for the perfect coffee grinder?
Typically there are two types of coffee grinder, a blade grinder or burr grinder. Blade grinders, while fine in a domestic setting, are not recommended for commercial coffee making as the ground coffee they produce is not consistent; it can be too coarse or too fine.
We would always recommend using a burr grinder, either a conical type or flat plate. Both types produce a consistent grind every time by drawing the coffee into a cone or rings that rotate to crush the coffee into a uniform size every time. In particular we recommend low speed burr grinders as they generate almost no heat or static charge and are relatively quiet to operate. Feel free to contact us for advice before you purchase.
